Dubai Tram is a modern street level rail system developed by RTA Dubai, connecting Dubai Marina, JBR, Al Sufouh, Media City, Knowledge Village, and Palm Jumeirah, with seamless interchanges to the Dubai Metro and the Palm Monorail.
Dubai Tram was planned as part of Dubai’s long-term public transport strategy to support high-density waterfront developments and reduce car dependency along the Marina JBR corridor. Construction contracts and system technology were announced in the late 2000s, introducing several world-first features for a modern tram network. The system officially opened to passengers in November 2014, becoming the first tramway outside Europe to operate without overhead power lines and the first globally to use platform screen doors at open-air tram stations.
Dubai Tram runs parallel to the coastline from Al Sufouh through Dubai Marina and JBR, connecting directly with DMCC and Sobha Realty Metro stations on the Red Line, and linking to Palm Jumeirah via the Palm Monorail.
Using Tohid Fetrat’s interactive Dubai real estate map, you can explore the entire tram route, view all operational stations, identify key interchange points, and see planned or proposed tram extensions alongside Dubai Metro lines and future rail projects.

Dubai Tram operates daily with extended service hours to support commuters and visitors, with frequent services during peak periods and consistent intervals throughout the day to ensure reliable travel across the Marina and JBR corridor.
